How We’re Tackling Historic Window Restoration with 100-Year-Old Glass Rondels

At Monument by Green Front, even the smallest features are worth preserving. Especially the windows.

In this episode, we highlight one of the most intricate details of our historic home renovation: restoring the 100-year-old glass rondel windows. We’ll also be repairing the original wrought-iron work in this 1920s Mediterranean Revival home.

Den Cralle walks us through the delicate process of historic window restoration. All of the glass rondels are being treated with the same care as the home’s architecture. From hand-forged ironwork to century-old rondel glass, this project shows how detailed craftsmanship can have a huge design impact.

The look of the repaired glass rondel windows will match new kitchen windows being crafted for the addition.
