8' x 10' rugs fit living rooms, bedrooms with queen beds, dens and smaller dining rooms.
On Your floor:
For living rooms or seating areas, remember all furniture feet don't have to touch the rug. Opt for a 8' x 10' rug or larger if that's very important to you.
8' x 10' rugs can be placed under a bed, providing a landing spot when getting out of a queen bed. Since much of the rug will be hidden, consider choosing a rug that features a striking border.
Dining room: The rug should extend 2 feet from the ends of the table. All four legs of a chair will be on rug. This also provides enough space to pull out chairs.
