From its organic origins to its placement in customers’ homes, Whittemore Sherrill follows strict construction guidelines:

• Frames - Traditional hand craftsmanship with modern manufacturing. Each frame is precisely cut and hand assembled using kiln-dried lumber. Double dowels form sturdy, long-lasting joints
• Eight-way Hand-tied Spring System - Traditionally the best-known technique for ensuring long lasting comfort. Solid interlace web bottom enhances each frame. Springs of various gauges and heights are securely attached to the full web bottom using clinch fasteners
• Filling Material - On most styles, urethane foam, polyester fibers, and cotton felt. Marshall units are used when thickness of back and styling permits. Dense layers of polyester batting, cotton, and urethane foam achieve optimal contour and comfort. Outside arms and backs are padded to assure a smoother surface and neatness
• Upholstery - Hand-assembled by skilled technicians who have spent years perfecting their trade. A marker pays close attention to the varying textures and distinctive features of each genuine leather hide

With reinforced frames, hand-assembly, and rigorous tailoring standards, Whittemore Sherrill has secured a place in the hearts and minds of even the most discerning furniture mavens.
