From the courtyard to the rooftops, outdoor living continues to inspire.
After reimagining the kitchen’s connection to the courtyard, Den Cralle and architect Matson Roberts shift focus to another historically significant space: the rooftop terrace at 2315 Monument Avenue. Inspired by William Bottomley’s original 1920s blueprints, they’re restoring one of its lost features — decorative latticework that once framed the terrace rooftop of this Mediterranean Revival home.
The result? Increased privacy, renewed architectural character, and a space reimagined as a quiet, elevated retreat. It’s another thoughtful move in a historical renovation that treats outdoor spaces as essential parts of the home — not afterthoughts.
