COVID Impacts on Shipping & Delivery

As 2020 comes to a close, we at Green Front are grateful for the record-breaking year we’ve been fortunate enough to have. Despite COVID 19, a month-long closure, flooding, and other challenges, we were blessed this past year as our faithful customers continued to rely on Green Front to make their spaces home. #GreenFrontMakesitHome

The ongoing pandemic continues to touch every part of our business. At this time we are unable to meet our regular delivery timeframes. Deliveries are currently pushed back to 5-8 weeks.
Our furniture suppliers are affected by COVID 19 in a multitude of ways that can slow the shipping and delivery process—anything from staffing issues at factories, production delays, supply chain pressures, and more.

Due to these circumstances, delivery times for special and custom orders are delayed as we work with our partners to navigate these impacts. Custom-order manufacturing and delivery can take significantly longer than the usual 8-12 weeks. Most custom orders are taking more than 12 weeks for us to receive at our Distribution Center. Delivering your items in a timely manner is very important to us and we are hopeful that as supply-chain issues are resolved and positive cases begin to decrease, delivery timeframe quotes will return to pre-pandemic levels.

In the meantime, we recommend buying from our current, in-stock inventory to avoid lengthy shipping delays. If quick delivery is essential, consider bringing a vehicle to take in-stock items home on the day of purchase.

In summary, when shopping at Green Front please be aware that:

  • Delivery to your home is currently delayed.
  • Special and custom orders and any items not in-stock are also delayed.
  • If you want your items as soon as possible, consider:
    • making arrangements to bring your items home on the day of purchase,
      using a U- haul or trailer.
    • buying items that are currently in stock.

We realize home is more important than ever. We know that this year has been challenging for our customers, community, and nation and are thankful for the continued support.

COVID Safety Precautions at Green Front

All three locations are open and have resumed normal hours of operations.

With added safety precautions to protect our customers and employees, Green Front is here for you – ready, willing and able to help – just like we always have.

  • Our associates will be wearing face masks, replacing handshakes with waves, and engaging in frequent and stringent handwashing and hand sanitizing. Our customers are also required to wear face masks and to use available hand sanitizer frequently.
  • With nearly 1,000,000 square feet of showroom space, our customers and associates can easily follow our 6-foot spacing guidelines. Signage is posted prominently throughout all buildings as friendly reminders.
  • Our strict housekeeping protocols include extra sanitization of all surfaces as well as sanitizing and cleaning all shipped items before placing them on our showroom floor or delivering them to your home.
  • Our associates are staying home if they feel unwell and we ask our customers to do the same.
  • Green Front currently offers either “porch deliveries” or in-home, white-glove deliveries.
  • We encourage our customers to take their purchases with them when possible.

My order has been delayed due to the store closure. When can I expect my order?

We have resumed delivery. Green Front currently offers either “porch delivery” or in-home, white-glove delivery.

If you have an order that has been delayed due to the store closing, please email info@greenfront.com with the details of your order.

Please note, some of our manufacturers’ facilities continue to be closed which will delay special orders or items not currently in stock. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Are you open for furniture pickup?

Yes – we encourage self-pickup at all three of our locations. We will still wrap and load furniture and rugs for customers who are picking up. Please wear a mask for the safety of our employees.

At the Farmville location, pickups are done at the Distribution Center. We ask that you please stay in their car and call 434-392-5943 to let us know you have arrived.

Can I shop online?
